Agbudu Killings: Maiwada condemns attack on Bassa community

A Kogi born Activist, Comrade Simon Maiwada has condemned the attack on bassa community in koton-karfe local government area of kogi state which claimed the lives of 14 people, which 13 of them were members of the same family and left many others injured with shattered properties.

The ugly incident took place in a community called Agbudu, a Bassa settlement in koton-karfe local government area of the state.

Maiwada vividly noted that, a similar attack had also took place in Tawari Community this year on Friday, 3rd January where not fewer than 23 same (Bassa people) were killed and properties worth millions of naira destroyed.

He said, not fewer than 37 Bassa people have been killed in the area within a thiny space of 6 months in this year.

Maiwada also said, the security agencies been put in place in the area had not meet up to expectations as the incessant killings has turned another worse phase of execution. “How on earth will 14 people be mysteriously swallowed up within a couple of hours by monstered vampires and sociopaths”?

This is utterly and completely evil”. Maiwada lamented and called on the state government to relentlessly synergize with the federal government for an investigation into the incessant killings and bring it to a lasting end as the affected areas is already sinking into anarchy.
